Ok everyone, I am seriously blown away with how profound this idea is:

I knew the theology and Bible verses to back this identity stuff up, but I hadn’t really put it into practice. We can claim the truth of these Scriptures all day long, but until we get down to the core lies that so easily entangle us, we won’t find the freedom we’ve been given in Jesus.

This week we are focusing on being Rooted In The Word. If it weren’t for this statement, then anyone could say anything they wanted to and call it the voice of God.

The pushback is, how can we trust people who are not doing what God has invited them to be and to do. Can anyone just do whatever they think is right and call it God speaking to them? I don’t even trust myself.

What would cause you to be more self secure...if you had this person, place or thing?

As they are about to announce the winner, you go through this crazy head game that ultimately, if you’re aware, reveals so much of the condition of your heart. “What’s my face look like if we lose? This would be so fun to win this.

An awakening is a new set of eyes. It is the re-considering of how things actually are. It is seeing the same monotonous day through new lenses and experiencing so much more.

I have been wrestling with this stuff for the past year and friends let me tell you, Timmons needs some heart work done!  If you’ve ever wondered what the condition of your heart is like, take a survey of your emotions, relationships and what/who you worship.

Every year I forget how crazy and angry people get in the Christmas parking lots. I’ve been told that I’m “#1” a few times already.

When you say Merry Christmas, what do you think the word Merry means?

One of the big buzzwords these days is Mindfulness. The issue is not about us being mindful in our waking hours, but what we are mindful of.

If Jesus wasn’t a part of your Christmas season, would you notice any difference?

Was I supposed to be thankful in ALL circumstances? What does God actually care about? 

Everyday there are battles going on in our minds and hearts between good and evil. So the question is, whose voice are we going to listen to?

I guarantee a changed heart after this practice...

My dad really blew my mind when he told me that Christ was not Jesus’ last name.

When you hear someone say, “I surrender,” what do you think of? I think of lifting my hands up in the air like I’m in an old time “stick em’ up” movie.
