Who I Am Family Blog Series - Week 3

Week 3 / Song 3:

Read Psalm 139:1-18.

What do you learn about God? What do you learn about how He sees you all week long? How different would your week be if you lived like this were true?

Just as a place to start, the heading of this Psalm is For the director of music. Of David. A psalm. This Psalm, this prayer, was written to be put into a song that people could sing to help them remember. Remember what? Help them sing and remember how much they are loved by the God of the Universe all week long! Not only are we loved, but we are thought about and known.

To some people this next idea makes them a little nervous, but to me, this is so exciting! There is nowhere that we can go or hide from the heart and love of God. If God were mean and always trying to get us in trouble then this would be a little scary, but that is not the case at all. There is nowhere where we can run from His LOVE and GRACE and HEART! He’s walking with us all day and all night. He’s working in every situation for our good. Jesus didn’t come to shame us or make us feel sad or guilty, but to help us be all that He created us to be and to do all that He created us to do.

So when we sing this song/psalm, we are remembering that nothing that we do, say or think can ever change the love of God for us!

10000 MINUTES weekly practice:

Read Psalm 139 at the beginning and end of each day this week and practice living as though it’s true.

What could you wear or make this week that would remind you of how Jesus sees you everyday?
