Look Out Worry, PJ’s Got Your Number
After our concert an older gentleman came up to me with tears in his eyes and a harder hand shake than The Hulk at full tilt. “Son, I came here tonight just to support my friends who put this thing together and wasn’t really interested in you or your music. I was thinking Tim Timmons, Shmim Shimmons. But then you started and Jesus spoke to me. You started talking about how when we worry about things, we become the kings of our kingdoms. We try to control the outcome of everything. Well Son that’s me. I’ve spent my whole life chasing worry like it was my royal job. It’s not my kingdom to control! Infact, Jesus reminded me about Matthew 6...Don’t worry about tomorrow… That’s just it.” This is where it gets really profound!!!
“If, like you said, none of us are assured tomorrow and we are to deal with what’s in front of us today then Jesus was right. We have no guarantees that we’re gonna wake up tomorrow. So why worry about it. Let’s just take it one day at a time. It’s just the right thing to do. It’s so freeing!
