When do you feel like you don’t belong WITH Jesus?

When do you feel like you don’t belong WITH Jesus? This is the scene in the play when the villain enters. Let’s call him SHAME!

I just released a new song for the world to pray called I Belong. It is in direct response to the lies and songs that “SHAME/EVIL” shouts at you and me everyday:

“You blew it again... you reacted out of anger again, there’s no coming back from this … you got carried away WITH desire for something or someone else... you went too far this time, grace has limits… you went further into sin than you’ve gone before, God’s not happy WITH you...you should hide from Him...try to earn back His love...if you try hard enough, maybe He’ll take you back…”  And so the cycle begins again!

What if we sang this prayer everyday?

Hallelujah I belong here

In your presence

Safe and secure

I see hope coming on the horizon

And there is no need for hiding

Cause I belong

Here I am

In the presence of the great I am

Near to Your heart oh God

I have found my joy

I’ve searched so long

In darkness I’ve walked so far

Fighting but I’m holding on

When Your love draws near

Hallelujah I belong here

In your presence

Safe and secure

I see hope coming on the horizon

And there is no need for hiding

Cause I belong

I often fail

But daily Your love prevails

Christ my peace within

I will trust in You

In Your presence Lord

Joys will overflow

You are God and friend

I am home again

Hallelujah I belong here

In your presence

Safe and secure

I see hope coming on the horizon

And there is no need for hiding

Cause I belong

I belong here

I belong here

I belong here in Your presence

What if we lived like this were true all day long? WE BELONG WITH JESUS no matter what...even on our worst day!
