I Bet Your god Is Too Small

GOD.

I mean, we are talking about GOD!

The beginning and the end of all. Fully “Other Than (Holy)”, yet cares for you and me. How can this be? Maker of all that we see around us...even of the brains that created everything else! (John 1:1-5 & Hebrews 1:3)

When was the last time you took a moment to stare at the stars. When did you last STOP and get your mind blown by the intricacy of a leaf, a bird, your skin… When was the last time you just stopped and pondered the complexity of LOVE?

Well to say the least, the creator, founder, author of all of these things LOVES YOU. Yet, so much of my life is spent holding onto a really small god. This past weekend, my good friend Kevin Dixon walked us through the indicators that our god is too small; worry, fear and pride. Here was his question:

When is your god too small?

When we feel worried… our god is too small

When we’re fearful… our god is too small

When we’re full of pride… our god is too small

Think about these statements. When is your god too small? In your worry this week, how big is God?  When your daily fears (often hidden and covert) affect how you interact with everything and everyone you come in contact with, how big is your god? When pride, your kingdom/queendom are threatened this week, how big is your god? Who is the King, you or GOD?

Which one of these statements most hits home with you? This week, when you are confronted with worry, fear or your pride, practice this with us!

This Weeks PRACTICE:

“Stop.

Breathe in: YOU ARE GOD

Breath out: i am not.”
